Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of Ledger, a transactional email service operated by AIM Internet (“Ledger”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or sending email through the service, you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.
The service
Ledger relays transactional email from your verified domains — the notifications your website or application sends, such as contact-form messages, receipts and password resets — and gives you a log of what happened to each message. Ledger is for genuine transactional and relationship email, not for bulk, marketing or cold email.
Acceptable use
Your use of the service is subject to our Acceptable Use Policy. In short: send only mail your recipients expect, keep your list clean, and don’t use Ledger for spam, abuse or anything unlawful. Breaching the AUP is a breach of these terms.
Your account and credentials
You are responsible for the domains you add, the SMTP/API credentials you issue, and everything sent using them. Keep credentials secret, rotate or revoke them if they may be exposed, and make sure you are entitled to send from the domains you verify. You must give accurate account information and keep it current.
Plans, trials and billing
Paid plans are billed through Stripe on the cycle shown at checkout (annual or monthly). Free trials are limited and provided as-is. Fees are payable in advance and, except where the law requires otherwise, are non-refundable. We may change pricing on reasonable notice; changes take effect at your next renewal. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of your current billing period.
Availability
We work hard to keep Ledger reliable, but the service is provided on an “as available” basis and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may perform maintenance, and we may suspend the service where necessary to protect the platform, its deliverability, or other users.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms or the AUP, if your sending threatens the platform’s reputation or security, or if required by law. You may stop using and close your account at any time. On termination, your right to use the service ends and outstanding fees remain payable.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, we are not liable for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, or for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Email delivery depends on third parties and receiving servers outside our control; we do not guarantee that any particular message will be delivered.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notified to account holders. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
